In recent weeks, the world has seen the emergence of a new virus commonly known as Coronavirus or, more specifically, Covid-19. The media are covering this extensively and it feels to many of us that there are new developments every day, if not every hour. We continue to closely monitor and manage this situation as it evolves. The details below explain how we are operating in the current situation, ensuring, as ever, that the safety and well-being of our clients and staff comes first.
The approach we take in situations like these is to closely monitor and follow Government travel advice from the US Department of State, World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) . These organizations have access to high quality on-the-ground information as well as health and intelligence resources that help deliver a fact based overview of the situation. In addition to the US Department of State, WHO, and CDC advice, we remain in close contact with our travel partners on the ground in possible affected destinations to get first hand information and insight. This information helps inform us of any additional operational factors we should be aware of. We use all these sources of advice to inform our overall approach to specific destinations and situations.
